Embedding Local History into the Curriculum

Cover the narrative of over 3 1/2 centuries of the fascinating history of Eastchester. It is imperative to share the content and narrative of research, documentation, text, illustrations, maps, charts, & pictures with our students.  Each participant will develop one learning module that they can be used with students and shared with colleague. Teachers will develop a deeper and more sophisticated connection with the historic importance of Eastchester, including Bronxville and Tuckahoe. *This section of the course is intended for teachers who will write and implement local history in their classrooms.

Times: Wednesdays, 3:30-5:45, September 25th-November 8th, 2017 (15 hours/ 1 in-service credit)

Location: Eastchester High School, room H207

Tuition: $125.00 for TILW Members (Eastchester and Tuckahoe Teachers) $150.00 for Non-TILW Members
